Title: husqvarna lawnmower?
Post by: mrcharly-YHT on 03 October, 2013, 01:24:43 pm
We are about to buy a house that has a lot of lawn. Don't really want to spend hours every weekend cutting it, so I'm after a biggish mower with a quiet engine.

Came across a husqvarna Royal 49 S with an 18" (45cm) cut, which seems to be large these days.

I know husqvarna make damn good chainsaws, but does anyone have any experience of their mowers?

We have a Flymo branded Husqy mower (sorry, can't remember the model or size). It's been OK. Briggs and Stratton engine. Always starts easily. Cuts well. Not that quiet but not particularly noisy either. Cable to the rear drive clutch broke last year and was a bit of a nuisance to fit but do-able.

Husqvarna is an Electrolux brand name, and nothing sucks like an Electrolux.

You will need to take your lawnmower for a test ride.

Including the chainsaws?
