Title: Worth selling?
Post by: fd3 on 24 August, 2016, 08:56:55 pm
I'm currently in the Yin of my n+1 itis and feel that having about 5 bikes I never ride is a bit excessive.  I have a Carlton Track bike which is lovely, but I never ride it as it's too small for me, has tubular tyres and won't take mudguards.
It used to belong to a friend/bikeshop owner who died very young from a brain tumour.  I have been holding on to it as a memento but currently feel that maybe it deserves to be ridden and not spend 6 years in a shed, coming out maybe once a year.
But then I tell myself that if I sell it I'll one day keel the need for a pretty but pointless tubular tyred track bike with no mudguard clearance...

Is it worth anything, or should I just hang on to it?  What do you reckon?

It is certainly worth money.  A nice frame (1960s? or earlier) with some good parts.  A shame about the butchered track ends though.
