Title: My commute
Post by: SteveC on March 26, 2019, 06:42:41 pm
In one of the old places we used to have a photo thread of 'my commute'.
I can't find one here, so I've started this.

This is my longer route to work. I wasn't on the bike when I took these. Not a good idea to stop and try to restart on this hill first thing in the morning. But I've always wanted to show people.

I saw the pic, and thought "That looks familiar". [I used to live in Aylesham]. I see there is a Hollow Lane near Canterbury, but the road the pic reminded me of is a steep and narrow lane coming from Patrixbourne. I once had a hare moving slowly uphill in front of me, till it got bored and went off over the fields.

This is darkest Somerset. I've not seen any hares, but I've had buzzards flying along under the tree canopy on two other similar hollow lanes going up the same hill.
