As you may have guessed I wasn't at the start. Nor was I camping or riding with you WARTYers.  :(
Until this afternoon when I met Mr. and Mrs. Wow, Kim, and Speshact at the north end of Flambirds Farm Track.
So to complete the ride here are some pics from me.  ;D

Eating the last of the, very melted, chocolate cake at Flambirds.

A speedy Kim on Flambirds.

All go and stop round here!

Nearly at Battlesbridge The Wow's, Kim, and Speshact.

A selection of my photos.  The lot are here.

Someone's bum from the first stop. :-[

It's amazing the weird religious sorts you'll meet on an event like this.

Staring, somewhat hypnotised, into the fire...

Meditating over a cup of coffee or tea.

Grouped around the fire.

Clearing up the camping after a hard nights sleeping.

Discussing the route forwards.

The remains of (second) breakfast.

Actually, it is rocket science.

TimO looks like a cross between Ian Brady and Ed Tudor-Pole on that snap.
Never tell me the odds.

For some reason wowbaggers photos aren't displaying at the moment.

Looking at the others has made me set myself some targets.
1) lose weight.
2) put the motorbike away and start cycling again
3) get fit
4) come out with you lot and enjoy myself.

Yes, I've thought of riding the last few miles of other FNRTsouthend, but the alarum clock gets ignored as you pass by*.

*What's the old Smuggler's Poem by Rudyard Kippling?

If you wake at midnight, and hear a horse's feet,
Don't go drawing back the blind, or looking in the street.
Them that ask no questions isn't told a lie.
Watch the wall, my darling, while the Gentlemen go by!
Five and twenty ponies,
Trotting through the dark -
Brandy for the Parson,
'Baccy for the Clerk;
Laces for a lady, letters for a spy,
And watch the wall, my darling, while the Gentlemen go by!
