Lyn dropped her bike on her foot, the chainring landed on her toe with a big of a deep gouge. It's been infected but has cleared up but it's still red, what worries me is that she has no feeling on her toe. She's too bloody stubborn to go to the docs though. It looks pretty healed now but I'm still worried.

I don't think anyone would bother attempting a nerve repair on a toe.
If Lyn has damaged the nerve in her toe, she'll have to live with the lack of feeling and take care to protect it from inry like diabetics do.
If the nerve is bruised it may eventually improve by itself.
If nobody would do anything much to Lyn's toe, then going to a doc may achieve nothing.
I'd persuade Lyn to see a doc if her toe is hot or painful; otherwise I would not do anything.
