That chant was originally addressed at Jon Beast, their rather porky lighting man, who milked it for a couple of years (appearing shirtless on stage to be abused at the start of each gig) then one day decided he'd had enough, got all sensitive and left.

I was at their "second to last ever gig" at the Barras a year ago (they are still gigging). Beast takes the stage dressed only in a small amount of duct tape.  He seemed to bew enjoying the attention but I'd imagine getting out of his stage close would have brought a tear to the eyes  :o
