Both have their share of random violence, swindlers and ugly overdevelopment caused by easy money.  So which is it to be?

At least I wouldn't have to fly to Swindon.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

We could cycle to and camp in Swindon. I wouldn't like to try the same in Zimbabwe.

Whoops, I knew I should have looked again :-[ :P. I can't imagine that we would think of cycle camping there, either. Any since flying is out, I still think Swindon. :D

I more or less speak the same language as the natives in Swindon. :-\ ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

Dunno.  A friend at work just came back from Nigeria after 3 weeks off - he had a great time.

Unless you can prove that anyone's ever said that about Swindon, go to Nigeria.

If you take your bike with you when holibobbing in Swindon, there are some nice places not far away where  you are less likely to be mugged, swindled or exposed to dubious architecture than you would be in Nigeria, I reckon.

Same here - a guy in my team went back home for a fortnight over Christmas to see family in Lagos.  He says he had a fabulous time and wishes he could afford to go more often.

Mind you; a lot of our lot have to go to Bonny Island* from time to time and if that was the only option, it would be Swindon all the way for me.

Friend of mine went to Nigeria to teach some training courses on offshore rigs.  She was supposed to be there for a couple of weeks but due to some kind of Trouble At Mill, ended up being stuck for a Several of months.

Even Swindon has to be better than that.

I supprt Swindon Town FC, who alledgedly play a game similar to Football. A holiday in Swindon during the season would save me more of my hard earned and nearly worthless Quids.
