Aren't snails noisy :D
« on: 16 June, 2009, 11:53:18 pm »
Been sitting in the garden for ages, listening to the mice scuttling around and waiting for the SNAP<jitter><jitter><jitter> that signifies I've killed another in the trap.

I've just realised that the rustling is a snail moving across the decking, not mice playing underneath  ;D ;D ;D

That'll teach him not to make such a racket.

No.

Because I've just popped indoors for some gnat repellent.  I'm still in my shorts and t-shirt from circuit training (yeah, I'll shower before bed) so there's a lot of exposed flesh for the blighters to feast off  >:(

There is a snail on one of our top floor windows. That's the 2nd floor. It is outside.

Did you throw it up there, nutty?
It is simpler than it looks.

I threw it in an easterly direction from near southend town centre.

What direction are you in, and what are the wind conditions like?

Collect them, cook them and eat them! Or flog them to your nearest poncey restaurant  :P
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

I also encourage natural selection to produce flying snails.

Not seen any yet mind you, but I keep trying.

There are a lot of them around here. Can easily be almost a hundred snails out after some rain.

I do wonder if I'm encouraging them sometimes. Is it like a theme park ride?

This isn't just a thousand to one shot. This is a professional blood sport. It can happen to you. And it can happen again.

Briefly, yes.
I just wonder about the odd snail who survives thinking "That was great!" and three days later turns up again for another go.

Eat slugs in tomato sauce, says television chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall  - Telegraph

Tonight, on the TV, apparently.  :P

There's nothing that that guy won't eat.

Here he is eating pig droppings.

Have you ever thought of making a Trebuchet? Think of all those trapped mice whizzing through the air.
