Should all else fail, I share a big private walled lawn with a select few of my other ground floor neighbours that no one ever uses, only me when my mum brings the dog round on occasion.

Apparently before I moved in, someone pitched a marquee there and had a wedding reception!

If you want to explore its transportability, I have a lawn in Marlow, whichj is eminantly cyclable!

I've got gravel, in Croydon, you could probably pitch a tent on it, but it's not as flat or comfortable as grass.  A reasonable amount of space though.

Well-mown lawn half a mile from Burnt Oak, or 3/4 mile from Queensbury stations. (<2 miles from FCC Mill Hill Broadway) or quarter of a mile from Watling Street.

Big big thanks to LMM & partner for the loan of their lawn and provision of coffee!

We managed to pitch & take down both tents.  The High Point (from Millets, but not on the website, so no linky - sorry!) vis-a-vis tent was bigger than expected, and a decent design - should prove good value for money.

The Blacks Octane 3 was also a pleasant surprise.  A lot of tent for not much weight.  OK, so it's not a Hilleberg, but it will certainly provide ample interior space, and porch space for bike bags.  The colour may cause comment, but I really am not that bothered.
