Maybe we should be more, er, violent

From the Telegraph, an article talking about Danish cycle advocacy:

Quote
It wasn’t always like this. In the 1970s, as cars got cheaper and the roads widened the bike lanes were going to be bulldozed. This was when the cyclists took to the streets marching, lobbying and yes, even burning cars.

I'd rather burn the bike lanes, they're sh!te...

...but a bit of intimidation is no bad thing, in its place.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Do we need to set up a YACF paramilitary wing? Who should be in charge?

Amateur! The sodastream, petrol and blowtorch trick.

A seal failed (Araldite is not petrol-safe, it turns out) and I was very nearly covered in litres of fizzy petrol. While strapped into a mecanno-and-airsoft-bits Ripley Special with a modded blowtorch roaring away inches from the out-of-control stream.

I am, frankly, lucky to have a face.

These days I just play with http://www.youtube.com/v/_Z7XDDgf_ts&rel=1, much safer.

Burning busses has got the people of northern Andhra Pradesh, one of India's largest and oldest states, their own state. Or at least a promise of it from central gov, made on Friday. If it can alter political boundaries thus, I'm sure it get a few lines in paint. Mind you, their leader did go on hunger strike for a couple of weeks - can we really expect any yacfers to go without cake that long?

I like to differentiate between violence to people and violence to inanimate objects.

Violence to people is not okay, m'kay?
Violence towards inanimate objects (for example, cars) IMHO can sometimes be justified and useful.

Wow. What is it? (I can see it's an old Raleigh Chopper, but... )
Is that you?
And where is it? There's something about the number chalked on the wall that looks very un-British.
