light bracket that fits to the stem
« on: 17 June, 2008, 09:13:50 pm »
anyone tried one of  these?

looks a bit like it'd replace one of the bolts holding the front of the stem on and give a wee brackety bit for a light or computer..    Just what i'm looking for to avoid using one of those minoura things.

anyone know if it'll fit to any old stem, or does it have to be one of the cinelli integrated ones?

Looks flimsy.  System EX did one a couple of years back that replaced a standard four-bolt stem face.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

That is a lot of money if it doesn't work out perfectly.

There's a bigger image on Cinelli's website, here, which give you a bit more detail - doesn't look too bad.  A slightly longer bolt passes through the Checkpoint into the stem - the bracket itself isn't too heavily loaded, I think.
