'cos I am.
Its the Linpus acer again,
now firefox doesn't work again.
Any ideas
Firefox 7 was an accidental upgrade as I wasn't paying attention..
Clicking the firefox icon makes the hour glass whir then nothing, no start to application.

What sort of issues? Hanging-for-up-to-a-minute-every-few-minutes type issues?
Me too - on Windows 7 Starter, Acer Aspire One. It's annoying. So annoying in fact, it's driven me to use IE. Yes - I know,
that
annoying.

Upgrade to what version? I've been on FireFox 6.0.2 for a while and haven't had any (new) problems.

The only issue I am having, which will be completely unrelated to yours, is that Flash keeps crashing (3.6.23 on XP), so far a Flash update has fixed that, didn't happen in IE.

Open a terminal and type 'firefox'. What error message do you get?

I had a
spring
autumn clean. Uninstalled Firefox with the "Delete data directories" option, and re-installed.
Seems fine now.
IE - get back in your box.

therein lies your problem, has the binary name changed?
$ find / -iname '*firefox*'
If that gives you naught, try su to root then try again.

Since getting Mr Firefox's Ver 7 upgrade I seem to have been invaded by a piece of shit called "IncrediMail" - anyone else had this - it seems like an alternative e-mail client and a toolbar that fits in Firefox?

On this steam-powered XP box FF7 is a metric fuckton better than FF6. Much less reluctant to start in the morning and doesn't randomly stop updating the screen when typing stuff such as this post. 6 was so shite on this box that I went back to 3.6, though it was fine on my lapdancer

Firefox 7.0.1 working ok here with no issues. I'm running XP SP3 on a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz with 2 gig of RAM beans. All looking hunky dory.
