Fatality in Trafalgar Square?
« on: 22 December, 2011, 02:09:17 pm »
Bottom end of Charing Cross Road leading into the Square completely sealed off, a dumper truck stationery across the turning down to Strand, with a large police blue tent next to it. A lot of police taking measurements and photographs. Several cyclists being interviewed.  This is junction where I often see cyclists alongside left-turning vehicles.  Doesn't look good.  :(
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?

Another tweeter said he saw a man under a "rubbish truck" with [graphic detail that I won't repost here].  Still don't know if the victim was a cyclist.  The reports are definite about it being a fatality.

RIP whoever was involved.

While feeling sorry for the family etc., the person I always feel for, especially at this time of year, is the police officer that has to go and knock on someone's door. That must be one of the hardest jobs for anyone.

Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?
