Sweet's a good word for it. It can be fun riding that sort of bike and they have a practical robustness, as long as you're somewhere reasonably flat, unless you don't mind pushing. I had an elderly neighbour's old 1950's Philips when I was a teenager. I note that Flying Pigeon have uprated the lighting for export.
