So today, young Taylor Phinney launched a late, solo attack. In the closing kilometres, with the bunch chasing him down like a swarm of angry bees, the only question was - could he hold on?

What was Bradders' original plan in this little jaunt? To stand on the podium at the end or to get some race miles in his legs before the TT WCs ? I hope it wasn't the former.
