A dead q frame
She who must not be obeyed hit a kerb off a ramped section of cycleway at about 10 mph and has bent the cross tube 😢. I put a picture up tomorrow .she gave her hand a bang in the incident and now has a nasty bruise .

I'd no idea that writing them off in low speed crashes was a family trait   ;D

GWS to SWMBO, and hope you're able to source a replacement.

ETA: Frame, I mean, not SWMBO.

Thanks to the dubious power of Wonderlights I once hit a sturdy silver birch tree with the n/s front wheel of a Windcheetah.  Perhaps surprisingly, it did not break or even bend!

Not surprising really; silver birches are quite tough.

So far I've been able to kill two frames.
One one my old Q when I was bending the arms up after hitting a pothole at speed.
And I bent the main tube on my Sprint sideways a little after crashing against a wall while on tour.
Both time I was able to pick up a new frame from ICE at a reduced price as I was willing to accept a slight blemish in the paint work.

Luck ..........  ;D

Oooh! I once had a pair of Wonderlights!

Pretty normal crappiness for the time, I think.

Is that two frames I have to get repaired then?

Picture, please.

It's only bent steel tube, unless it is crushed it should be repairable.
