If there is already such a thread in existence, merge me.

Q1. Hey yacf! Any posties? When you want to forward a letter sent to an ex-resident, can you just write the new address on the existing envelope or do you need a stamp?

Just write the address. I usually put 'moved, please forward' as well.

UKMail letters are delivered by the Royal Mail.  You don't need to stick a stamp on it to give it back to the Royal Mail, whether or not you add a helpful note.

This should be on the OT Knowledge board.

A useful thread which was sure existed, but has just taken me ages to find.

Anyway, my random question:
Can someone explain what Pokemon is, so that I can have some idea what people mean when they say that some thing/organisation/situation is a bit Pokemon?

Hi Basil

Once the Pokemon question is settled (I don’t know the answer), can someone clarify the meaning of “marmite”? As in “That’s a marmite bicycle”. I had always assumed that it was a polite way of saying “$hite” but apparently this is not so.

Don't know about pokemon but marmite is a thing you either love or hate

Edit: Oooh......is a bit Pokemon, got to to get it all? As in 'Gotta catch em all'. I think it might be.

It's from a 90s marketing campaign for Marmite - "you'll either love it or hate it".

Pokemon is a game. Actually it is a game/cartoon tv series/movies/merchandise/computer game.

But at one time it was mostly a game with cards where the cards represented characters/pokemons with different 'powers'. You could collect them and make a more powerful playing hand. Gotta catch/collect them all.
