How sweet is this?


   DealExtreme: $37.50 7" USB Plug-n-Play Touch Screen Digitizer for Asus Eee PC 701 UMPC Laptops


It's a touchscreen overlay for 7" screens.  It connects to USB, and installs as a HID, so it's just an alternative mouse as fas as the OS is concerned.

There was a Youtube vid about a week after the eee came out which showed a diy version of this.  You lost one of the ports to do it.

Possibly; a touch screen is just about the last thing I want with my current diasabilities.
I wouldn't fancy a touch screen on a moving train either...

It should just plug'n'play as it conforms to HID spec., but calibrating it without the software could be interesting!

It connects to the motherboard's webcam port (and looks like it might be pass-through).  Versions for larger screens are available...
