The Things have entered, and will be riding (assuming we shake off the colds and coughs we've been suffering for the last few days  :-\ ).

It should be a good ride.

I'm in too - well it does start very near to where I live.

Looks like it doesn't include any of the Invicta Grimpeur hills - which is nice.

Yep, I will be there.  It's a perfect excuses to take a long weekend in the country visiting my family and gets me out of Birmingham.  :)

An enjoyable ride on a beautiful day with an excellent route sheet.

Much less hilly than I was expecting, knocked nearly an hour off my quickest time for a 200 and was back before 5:30pm, although gps tells me I still spent over an hour faffing at controls.

Every audax I do in Kent seems to stop at the railway cafe in Hythe, yet it serves extremely unappealing food.  Has anybody ever ventured further into Hythe in search of a better alternative?

Yup, a good day. We were also quicker than we expected, and found it less hilly than we remembered. The route seems significantly better than the one we rode 2 years ago, but having such good weather helps enormously! I must put in the forms for the 300!

As previously commented, the lovely weather and quite a flat route made this a brisk 200k.

En route met the Things,  Garry King, and fellow Fairy David Winslade (organiser of the Man Of Kent).

With reference to the Hythe cafe did anyone else notice the rather genteel and pink Miss Mollett's High Class Team Room in Appledore http://www.missmolletts.co.uk/page/page/6476039.htm.  Not sure they would have let us in but looked very pleasant.

Great day out.

Yep a great day out! Managed to get my first tan lines of the year, met some great people and it was a good excuse to come back home and visit family the weekend. On top of that it was my quickest 200 to date, my first 200 on a fixed, and I found out that I prefer hills to the flat.

cheers
