New training partners for a clubmate.
« on: 12 December, 2009, 01:31:55 pm »
One of the young lads from the club has moved abroad, to an island where the cycling is hilly and warm. A location much favoured by pro teams for winter camps.

He works in a bike shop and got on very well with an assistant Directeur Sportif from one of the pro teams. Now, B is no slouch having won a few races the season before he moved. So after a while he plucked up the nerve to ask if he could join them on a ride.

Much humming and hawing later. He got a yes. Proviso: sit at the back, noone will wait for you. If you are still there after an hour or so, they might consider lettign you move up into the bunch.

So he has been told to a) wear club kit and b) get photos when he goes for his gentle ride with Cav and his mates...

Has never ridden RAAM

Have you heard from him about how he fared ?  Was he ever allowed to move up the peloton or was he kept hanging on to the back ?

Working, and there's a bit of a gap in the first photo, but they don't seem to have dropped him.

Chapeau!
