Here's one for starters. West of Hawes, heading towards the Moorcock Inn and Mallerstang.

I can't post pics from my phone, but there's a several of photos scattered about various threads of the fisher of dreams at Naburn. In fact it is entirely possible that wow, Jane and myself have posted one of those each too!

Not really a YACF thing, but taking photos of one's bike resting against the bottom of the Caen Hill flight really ought to be a tradition.

I find Jane's photo above especially captivating, the way you are looking straight down the road seeing it dip and rise but also including the horizon hills where it presumably takes you. It really gives you a feeling of going somewhere.
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

When we did Gospel Pass in the spring of last year it was a wet, murky day and although I took some photos, I didn't capture one from the point that MV and Deano did.

I like Jane's aswell, I think it's the inclusion of the cyclist that really helps.

I'm sure I've got the Gospel Pass one, will have to try and dig out.

... plus longer focal length brings the faraway bits of road more into the picture.  Tele landscape shots can work better than wide-angle sometimes
