Steve Worland RIP
« on: 30 March, 2014, 03:02:10 pm »
Sad news: One of the longest serving UK bike journalists and Singletrack bike tester, Steve Worland (58) has died of a heart attack while out running.

I was into mountain biking a lot in the 90s, I always enjoyed reading the stuff he wrote for MBUK (usually the only thing worth reading there) and the early Cycling Plus.

Damn...

Never got into MBUK, but MTB Pro and Mountain Bike World were always worth reading back in the day.

As a very keen mountain biker in the late 80s/early 90s, this is very sad - he wrote a lot of good stuff and helped inspire riders.

RIP
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

He was one of the few reasons to keep reading MTB mags when they were all chasing each other downmarket.

Sad news, but thanks for flagging it.

Thinking of his family.
