Not a peep on how cycling could give ready access to public transport Ashington is easily cycleable from Pegswood & new A1 link should include cycling, or use residual formation of old rail line which remains. Alnwick is cycleable from Alnmouth and again rail formation remains if roads unsuitable.

Not a peep either about bikes on buses despite actually supporting the AD211 (Hadrians Wall), the 714 (Kielder bus), and an Otterburn-Hexham operation with previous cycle carriage on Newcastle-Morpeth/Berwick services. Really useful for getting back at night on fast, unlit rural roads.

Rather a feeble cut & paste job?

No mention either of the new Northern Rail Franchise, new Scotrail franchise - and aspired to local services to Berwick on Tweed, and new East Coast Franchise with potential for extra Morpeth and Alnmouth stops.  Poor uptake on Alnmouth Bike & Go - hardly a surprise...opens & closes too late/early for commuter use.
