As stated elsewhere I have entered the above PBP qualifying series. Anyone else doing it?

Since my events were registered a day or so ago, there have been quite a few entries.....After the Flatlands and the PBP seminar in October, I was hoping things would go quiet for a bit, but actually PBP is VERY EXCITING, even for a grizzled Ancien.

There are going to be a lot more ESRs this year. Next year will be mental  ;D

Do we need an Essex Audax Club, to jump on the ACH/ACB/ACP bandwagon? Audax Club Essex = ACE?

Or just Audax Essex = A&E.  ::-)

I would enter now but I'm a cantankerous old sod who doesn't believe in filling events up early.    Maybe next week....

the series dates are already on the house calendar

If you could somehow make the acronym REEM, I'd be in  :P

You've got Randonneur and Essex to start with, I'm sure the remaining E and the M could be mangled into something meaningful..

Welllllllll, I'm going to see exactly how torturous The Flatlands 2014 is, then I will possibly let you know, but if I keep turning up you'll know I'm in.......Maybe.

It indeed is. I entered the 300-600k rides as I didn't see Tom's new 200 in the calendar. But see that one there now.
Was planning to do one of the perm 200s for Essex SR maybe, and Willy Warmer 200 as 200 qualifier. But might as
well do the Essex 200 too.

I am doing the Willy Warmer too but not as a qualifier but as a leg stretcher or as the name implies

for no good reason I am holding off putting my entries through, something about entering the rides before I do the Flatlands just doesn't feel right. I have however now booked time off for PBP and convinced the family that a holiday in France next August is the way forward so I think the entries will be done very shortly after completing the Flatlands (assuming that the completion happens).

It's all a little exciting and I must say it has been a pleasure riding my first SR with a lot of 'you Essex Folk', you make a foreigner feel most welcome  ;D

I have been a busy little organiser: the 300, 400 and 600km cards being sorted out, with protestations from a furry friend:

Leading to this:

By my reckoning there are 44 2015 Essex Super-Randonneurs so far. Several dozen more within a whisker of qualifying, with plenty of time over the summer to get the job done.

I've ordered new medals, same design as before but with loops for 2015 date bars.

Jeez! That's a lot of cards, although I shouldn't be surprised considering I know you had around 200 people starting the A&S 400 alone.

Thanks for your hard work. I look forward to an envelope appearing early next week.
What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

Wow - the  work that an organiser does which is not even thought about -- even if the effort of putting on the ride itself is appreciated - there is then all the extra -- which i am afraid I was completely unaware of ( despite my LEL experience -- so I should know better ).

Tomsk - you are a star.
I was an accountant until I discovered Audax !!

Yes, amazing effort Tomsk, thanks.

I fully intend to keep my Essex SR run up (if 2 can be considered a run?). Will be on Hareward and then a 200 perm will get me there, then I can justify a cider at the prizegiving! We are having a prize-giving right?!

Oh yes! Provisionally at the Compasses again, especially as it is now also the home of the OYTTowel, but the 'Green Room' was pretty full for the PBP Pubinar last year, with about 30 of us. 40 plus would be very cosy!

Tomsk

It was a good feeling getting hold of the completed set of brevet cards with all the ACP stamps.

Your hard work does not go unappreciated by all of us who have enjoyed your rides and your organisation.

Thank you.
