This plaque is on a tenement just round the corner from us and is the one that started my collection:

Coincidentally, I found another one for him at the HQ for an audax in Huntly a couple of weeks ago:

This is on a house in Crawley Down. He's also listed on the memorial in the village centre, but the blue plaque brings it all a bit closer. There are two more in the same street, next door neighbours and brothers. I found the plaques when I was researching my Tandem Club treasure hunt, and noted the Union Flag was flying at half mast the day of the ride, commemorating, I think, the centenary of one of the deaths listed.  Charles, from the plaque in the picture, died a hundred years ago the day after my ride.
There are two ways you can get exercise out of a bicycle: you can
"overhaul" it, or you can ride it.  (Jerome K Jerome)

One of the two great bands of the time who got right royally screwed by the business. They should have been huge. The other was Big Star.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

That image should be pixilated or the plaque mounted sidesaddle...
