NiteRider Cherrybomb 35 rear light
« on: April 25, 2017, 09:45:27 am »
We have been using the CherryBomb 0.5 Watt and CherryBomb 1 Watt rear lights since Jan 2016 and they have been fine.  The Cherrybomb 35 is physically the same but has four modes instead of two for the previous models.

mode 1:  Bright flash alternating between big and small LED's (same as previous models)
mode 2:  Throb, big LED on constantly, but intensity increases from to high level about once a second
mode 3:  Big LED on high intensity (constant, same as previous models)
mode 4:  Big LED on low intensity (constant)

First impressions:
All three models are good for visability in difficuilt lighting conditions (e.g. fog / low sun / lots of traffic).
CherryBomb 0.5 Watt and CherryBomb 1 Watt are rather bright for group riding (we have another less offensive light for this).
The Cherrybomb 35 appears to be brighter in high intensity
The Cherrybomb 35 appears to be less bright in low intensity (probably less offensive for group riding than the previous models, but probably still brighter than our preferred group riding rear light)

We have not tried the supplied brackets as I've attached them to the back or our rear racks.

All these models take two AAA batteries.
