Boy am I glad I won't be in France for the final, the French TV presenters are really fucking annoying.

I'll miss it on Saturday because I didn't realise the dates clashed when I booked ballet tickets, so I'm watching the semi-finals. Montenegro is my favourite so far.

Yay, Verka.

Are we still allowed to take part in this?
Oh, Bach without any doubt. Bach every time for me.

Yes.

Early comments from the EU Brexit negotiating team indicate that the UK will still be allowed to enter Eurovision after Brexit.  This is just the first of the punitive measures from this tough EU negotiating stance.

I didn't realise it had different stages now. Do they apply the away tunes rule?

Having heard the UK effort, I for one can't see us getting any points. It is terrible IMHO. Oh and I think the singer said she wasn't going to wear shoes...not sure about socks however.

That said, we will be watching it with a nice curry and a bottle of wine for CBH

I always assume that the UK song is awful, and we'll have no chance, so I've barely listened to ours.  Anyway, isn't it all about who has the most exotic clothing, strangest dance or ethnic music. ;D

I've checked the fridge, and I have enough wine and beer to last me, unless I really need to urgently break open the whisky or vodka.  Dr Who, and then straight through on to Eurovision.  That's certainly a simple approach. :)
Actually, it is rocket science.

So far, Belorussia and Armenia have been the most "noticeable" of the songs, but both are bit Folk Musicy.  Armenia won out, with odd dancing too !

I recall a UK entry some years ago in which the artiste didn't wear shoes. She did rather well.
Oh, Bach without any doubt. Bach every time for me.

Apparently the Italian song is favoured, although I can't see that a dancing gorilla would exactly help that?!  :o ;D
