Other 600s on my wish list are the Rando Imperator (Munich - Ferrara, rode this 2 years ago) and the first 600 starting from my hometown of Groningen a week later.

I will be aiming to complete a triple AAA SR season in 2019 and of course attend PBP.

In order to achieve the former I am going to have to do some serious hill training.

Well, the first goal was achieved (riding a 200k again after two-years) and it felt good and without struggling for the final stages which has got me thinking longer term again now.

That reminds me, I must return your card!  :D

Yep. The route follows (mostly) the Via Augusta cycling route. Minor roads and (gravel) cycle paths in Germany, two benign mountain passes, the Fernpass and Reschenpass, to cross the alps and then it's mostly flat cycle paths to Ferrara.

There's four controls with food, three manned by Witoor staff or friend/volunteers, the other (on top of the Reschenpass) a pizzeria where you get half a pizza and some drinks for free. I acquired a taste for fried pig's ear at the last control :D I brought a bivvy, but Bozen/Bolzano is half way and you can either use the Hotel that Witoor has on offer (I believe it was ~ 60 euro two years ago) or find something on your own.

Good memories on this one, despite the fact that afterwards I got an unplanned overnighter at Bologna airport due to the fact that my (boxed) bike didn't fit through the scanner and I only found out at the gate... That scanner btw allows a maximum size of 100x60cm btw, and security will not do a manual check!

I’ve just looked at the calendar and found maybe 10 rides that are a plausible sequence, not on wife and children’s birthdays and attractive to me as rides. The chance of me doing all of them is vanishingly small, but I’ve wanted to get to 300k for years so I’ll make that and over 1000km combined across audaxes my goal.

An SR (its been a while), some new calendar events, and qualify for all new style distance badges (got the 1000 last month, now need the rest!)

Most importantly, get both kids round a 50 (maybe get the eldest round a 100).

Stretch goal = get my wife round a 50 with us (on her e-bike)...

It absolutely is. I probably won't make it for next season but there'll be at least a 3rd one for me (packed one and finished one)

We entered 2019's today.  :o Need to ascertain some tandem logistics such as, "Will they take one on the transfer back from Ferrara?"

All around PBP because... unfinished business
6th SR forms the base of that and will probably get 2 or 3 I guess
Essex SR plus the Shark if it runs, dean, oasts and coasts... all the eady rides to get to from London... Flatlands (noooooo) and Windsor Chester Windsor
Ideally, but optional, a 1000km flat solo DIY just for the hell of it from the back door
Lose 6 kg
Actually train through winter rather than turn into Angel Delight (in a bad way) which is going well so far - this means stages power bike in the gym (!)
ONE non Audax event - probably the Normandicat 900 which will let me trial approaches to sleeping and Gluten free eating in PBP land
I really don't care about points

That's quite ambitious for me, but if I want to hit the line in Paris confident rather than psyched out that's what it will take.

2019 targets are a 1000 UAF Paris-Tourmalet with a SR600 the following weekend. Tandem PBP Randonneur of course, with (hopefully) interesting qualifiers, though logistics can become a bit challenging. Possibly back-to-back UAF 200s and random other brevets that catch the eye. Ideally complete RRtY9 along the way.

recover ready to do the last two ACME winter series again, and The Ride of The Falling Rain in August (non-audax, but similar mentality)

Anything in addition to that will be a bonus with what I have to deal with this year.

15th consecutive SR (only 25 or so have done more who are still going unbroken)

4th PBP

Brevet 25k but that will mean a 1000km in 2019 as well as 50 pts and PBP and ive been on the cusp of it since 2015...

I want to do a 400 - my first in a few years and, assuming that doesn't go pear-shaped, it's Windsor-Chester-Windsor for me. The 400 will be the old Severn Across (hidden in the calendar as the Bare Bones...) I thought, it was fitting as over the years I must have entered 7A a dozen times but only actually got around it twice!

You'll be nearly at the ACP Randonneur 10,000 award level after PBP ... http://www.audax-club-parisien.com/EN/462.html

If you fancy getting the rides to finish that off, I'm looking at the Danish 1000km on 5th July from Sjælland ... https://audax-club.dk/cms/Clubaudaxclub/ClubImages/Brevetkalender%20og%20medlemslister/brevet_2019.pdf. Might be an alternative option for you, it's certainly flat. Entries open in January, and it visits 4 islands to the west of Denmark.

My big challenge for the early part of the year is going to be organising for the first time.  18-486 and 18-485
Entries for the 200 have been going far better than l hoped, so well in fact that I'm just about to commit to a second hall hire for a lunch stop.

Volunteers will be needed to help out on the day !

And if I've got any energy left, an SR

Am aiming to complete a 13th consecutive SR series as a 'full-value' rider. Helpers rides and volunteering for the KWAC (Kingston Wheelers) series of rides.

Not motivated as yet to attend PBP, as it seems to be my 'bogey' ride. 3 attendances so far and only one completion - in 2011.
So may not aim for anything over 600km next year, but depends on how my fitness goes over the winter/spring.

You and your points, anyone would think they mattered. TBH I am already talking to a slightly resigned partner about quite how little I am going to be around for major projects for the first half of next year and I haven't mentioned the rides below 600 yet, so that list will be enough.

Have finally put together a plan for an SR series, which is rather difficult give a no-event zone during the CET Junior exam period (mid May to mid June) and results period (end of August) as that rules out PBP and most PBP qualifiers, but because most calendar events are also PBP qualifiers also makes it hard to find calendar events to complete the series.

So 300 is a permanent - Le Tour des Neuf Cheval Blancs, because it starts at Alresford and so I can ride there from home
400 is the Auld Alliance - as all the other calendar 400s clash with family commitments and
600 is the Border Raid - as it's on 20th July after all the exams are past and the results aren't yet in.
200 is already in the bag courtesy of the Upper Thames.

Then, if all goes well, then its the 1000 du Sud which doesn't count for anything but is just an amazing ride

Did my first ever 200 in January and it's got me dreaming of an SR or RRtY or both. Not got a firm plan for 600 yet but will ride 200s in February-April and then the Green and Yellow Fields 300, and take it from there.

I'm in for Green and Yellow Fields too. My plan for PBP qualification is to visit more of the UK... Never audaxed in the SE before. And this 300 in particular seems very well-regarded.

And a flatliner 600 perm from Goole to further acquaint myself with Down There.
