There's still a little bit of actual France off the bottom of Newfoundland (Saint Pierre and Miquelon), I bet that pokes them in the eye.

Canada's Quebec province has denied immigrant status to a French citizen because she was unable to demonstrate adequate French-language proficiency.

Quebec has some weird arrangement re language to 'prevent the dilution' of Québécois culture, so if you want to live in Quebec, they effectively get a veto over your Canadian citizenship if you're not Frenchified enough for them despite the fact that you don't have to speak French to live in Quebec if you're Canadian. I'm not sure why you simply can't immigrate to Ontario and then sneak over the border when they're not looking.

Known to translators all over: to try and keep their version of French 'pure', the Québécois government produced one of the best multi-lingual terminology dictionaries in the world:

- Plz to be building an underground motorway
- And sports stadiums can be car parks
- The problem? 400,000 cars. and only 20,000 bikes in Paris and bikes get their own lanes (yeah, v suspicious bike number)

How can someone so ingenious be such an idiot?
At some point in the ride, you might find yourself in Osaka with Spanish speakers where you had expected Edinburgh talking Greek. This does not mean you are lost, or even off route.

Very easily, if the amount of blithering idiocy I see posted on social media by nominally intelligent people is anything to go by. :demon:

A Florida dog put a car into reverse and drove it in circles for nearly an hour.

That's a bit unfair on the dog.  Unattended cars slipping into reverse and going round in circles is a fine American motoring tradition, on account of them having failed to discover clutches or handbrakes.
Careful, Kim. Your sarcasm's showing...

As well as being on account of one large American carmaker doing a sloppy job of designing and building automatic transmissions.

This is the dog equivalent of that thing you did at primary school where you stood on one spot and whirled round till you fell over. There's bound to be a Far Side cartoon about it.
