Im am sorting out the bath combined filler / overflow / waste pop-upper which has obviously leaking for years, as the ceiling below it just bulged downward and started dripping.
On account of it being a filler and the overflow and the popper-upper, it's quite a complicated item, with lots of functions that need to be kept seperate. Which they were not. Water from the filler was passing into the overflow, and the overflow is not sealed properly against the outside of the bath, on account of a seal being missing.
The incompetent monkeys who installed it have assembled it all wrong; it clearly has no hope of sealing the way they did it. Furthermore, their cack-handedness had rolled an important o-ring out of it's seat, and buggered to o-ring too. Just as well they'e not building rockets.
Needless to say, access is damn near impossible and I'm nae a happy monkey.
Am hoping to avoid lifting the bath out of it's enclosure.
