The Family Boab have just put Hair (the movie) on.

I've not seen it before.

What. The. Veritable. Fuck?  :o
For the article on That Wiki:

Quote
Hair is a 1979 musical war comedy-drama and film adaptation of the 1968 Broadway musical of the same name about a Vietnam war draftee who meets and befriends a tribe of long-haired hippies on his way to the army induction center. The hippies introduce him to their environment of marijuana, LSD, unorthodox relationships and draft dodging.

Late 70s adaptation of a Vietnam-era musical ... 'nuff said.

Having a clearout, in the absence of anything better to do.
I found a CD containing the final version of my PhD thesis (dated 1998) and have just spent an instructive few minutes trawling through the source code ...

... and wondering what the hell I was on when I wrote it  ;D

Backups.

Just discovered that the offline backups script hasn't been doing anything since I upgraded the disks in the server and forgot to create a directory.  Oops.

Procrastinating about mucking out the chickens.

And contemplating which exactly of his human rights I would most like to deprive Mr Grayling of, since he doesn't think he needs any.

I should think that freedom of speech, self determination and procreation will be near the top of the list.  :demon:

All of which could be achieved by rendering him to a third country for detention without trial and questioning under duress.

Waiting for fresh, treated water in the fish tank to clear before returning the two fish who are currently swimming around a glass flower pot, giving me dirty looks.

Update: Fish are now back where they belong swimming around happily looking for poo to eat.

Not sleeping, and have been for the last hour.  At this point I've given up.  I think I'll go into the office early today (but not yet!).

All that time and only managed to be at my desk for 08:30.  Guess my faffing skills are 'improving'.  ::-)

OTOH, I did leave in time to do the 20+ km version of my commute, and thanks to the tailwind managed it at an average of 25.25kph.  :)

Still, the kitchen's a bit cleaner.

Booking a table at one of our favourite restaurants for Mothers Day. Only it's not on Sunday, it for Saturday, as everywhere is full (or not open, as is the case with this one) on Sunday.

Browsing my nice shiny new "Field Study Council" identification guides which came in the post today!   :smug:
Just waiting on my 10x hand lens to come in the post, then some happy time going on nature walks to id lichens, plants, flowers, grasses using the aforementioned guides!

Having a headache in Hatfield and wishing I was at home asleep.

Sometimes I love this job.... at times like this, I hate it.   :(

Fighting a losing battle against utterly clueless slave traders  ::-) (including one who has pitched the same job at me *four* times despite me telling them that a Microsoft house probably won't have a great deal of use for someone with nearly 20 years of Linux experience)

I'm just about to find something large and heavy to hit my wife over the head with later.

She's turned on the dishwasher and put something in it that's rattling and vibrating, she's also just gone out and hasn't got to listen to it!

Getting ready to go to the pub.
Also wishing I wasn't teetotal - after the asshattery that I had to put up with today I could do with several stiff drinks.
