Waiting from The Man From ~~Uncle~~ Scottish Power to arrive to service my boiler (sometime between 8 am and 1pm).
Listening to precipitation persisting down.
Watching Tamiya Acrylic Paint drying on my 1:24 Scale VW Samba Bus
Browsing emails
Entering moth survey results into spreadsheet
and
washing laundry.

--edit-- Boiler man been - boiler serviced, needs new divertor valve :-/ Which will get fitted sometime between 1pm and 6pm tomorrow....

Not only did my Revelate Viscacha seatpack and my Thomson seatpost collar turn up today (complete with a wee bag of Haribo in each) but I also manage to score a set of Sharks 'Top Trumps' cards

If it makes you feel any better, Clarion, one of the clouds isn't small white and fluffy like the others. It's dark and ominous looking, and it appears to be heading this way.
I guess my best course of action would be to take the washing off the line to ensure that it doesn't rain.

Spending a delightful evening in Stowmarket station. Again.

You know, it's all well and good having a compensation payment system for late running trains, but in practice what it means is, if your connecting train is running a bit late, the connectee will leave, whatever. Even if you're half way over the fucking bridge to the other platform - will they hold it to let you on? Will they fuck. Not if it means incurring fines.

Near Uzes south of France quite pissed listening to music on YouTube with my brother inlaw. just had to respond to a shriek from Mrs Pcolbeck and remove a scorpion from the bedroom. That's a first. Think I will sleep on the sofa in the lounge tonight as she has just doused the bedroom in more insect killer spray than the average US agent orange drop in Vietnam.

Investigating different ways of bodging luggage onto the mountain bikes - since my Viscacha seatpack has been sent back for replacement and my old SQR Tour and Bagman are en-route to new homes I've sort of painted myself into a corner. Oops!

Experiments with an 8L Alpkit drybag and the straps from my Salsa Anything cages are looking promising ... if nothing else, it'll encourage me travel light
