It's going really well. 3 more shows (one tonight, then a matinee and an evening performance tomorrow). Then I can have my life back. But I'll miss it too.

I've been put off riding by the fog, so while it's (hopefully) lifting, I'm trying to work out what audaxes I can fit in this spring.

Bit disappointed that one I wanted to ride is already full up. Should have done this earlier

Apologies for the crudity of the video, and pay no attention to the missing second - it had just powered up and NTP was stepping the clock.

But yeah, chief design criteria being that it be really really easy to kill the alarm in a hurry. Hence the Big Red Button™. The 80s bond villain aesthetic just flowed from that...

I'm a bit rubbish at 'normal' cards and today was a young 'un's birthday. His parents had told him they'd booked a clown (he hates clowns), but really they'd sorted an animal lady and her menagerie. Raccoons are a bit of a thing in that family and the lady didn't seem to mind when I took a few photos of Socrates and some PVA

In Costa in Whitehaven with a large coffee on a mid-ride break. Unfortunately all the other cafés are shut or doing valentines day soecials. Nice day for a ride though.

Sitting in an empty lecture theatre waiting for a talk on getting into the engineering industry post graduation.

The trains here were such that I could be ludicrously early or five minutes late.

What type of engineering and which bit of the industry?

Asks an Engineer at an international engineering consultancy.

I'm currently doing BSc. Engineering via the Open University with half a plan to do a MSc. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sussex afterwards (if I can afford it - working full time at the moment alongside studying which won't work for doing the MSc.).

I'm not entirely sure what I want to do once I'm actually an engineer but aeronautic/aerospace/spacespace definitely intrigue me.

There was a bloke riding zig-zags all the way down the A167 when I was driving home on a pink and purple BMX with no lights. Nearly ran him over. I was going to tell him he was a week early for the Yorkshire Gallop, but didn't have the heart as he was having such a nice time.

Trying to crank my eyelids into the nominally open position. Woke up at 2:45, didn't drop off again until 5:30, spent most of the time in between trying not to cough or sneeze so as not to wake the missus. Turned out later that she'd been awake most of the time so I could have.

Two pints of tea and a coffee later I'm still anæsthetized.

(Note erudite use of æ: take that, bloody Webster!)

Just been watching Harold Lloyd in "Safety Last" with full orchestral accompaniment from the RLPO.
Now drinking a pint of Imperial Russian Stout (7.5%) from Liverpool Organic. Very good, but at £4 per pint it should be!
