sitting in a Denver hotel room feeling very tired, I left home in the UK at 5am BST and it is currently 5pm local time here. Bright sun and I feel the need to sleep.

It was in a Denver hotel room, in a similar state of jet lag, that I first watched Alien.  The semi-delirium brought on by sleep deprivation (which had nothing on PBP but didn't have the cycling to push it back) turned it into a deeply mystic experience, even though they did slap in 5 minutes of adverts between Nostromo blowing up and Siggy Weaver hopping into bed with the cat.
I've dusted all those old bottles and set them up straight.

Isn't it de rigeur under these circumstances to watch "Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead"?

It could be worse, I was once stuck in a Durango hotel room during a snowstorm and ran out of things to read other than the Book of Moroni (handily secreted à la Gideon in the beside drawer).

That said, a copy of this read to the tune of a well-stocked hotel bar makes for much hilarity. You'll never take the Mormons seriously again.

In one hotel where we fetched up in Rennes a Gideon bible was the only means of air-conditioning. We used it to prop the window open.

Spraying air freshener. The Asbestos Palace reeked of diabolically eggy bottoms when I came back from the pool. I assumed something awry with the drains so spent a while tipping bleach down them, but the smell lingered undispersed in the hallway. Tentatively sniffed the dishwasher, washing machine, downstairs loo – seemed fine. What the hell could it be?

Ah, what's located under the stairs...

Anyway, thanks Bad Cat.

Did 4 hours of delivering in the rain. Currently cowering in my uni's common room because I'm too wet to willingly jump back on the bike and ride home. Made £60 which is pretty good going but feeling like work!

Hi John

I've been having a clear out in the man cave and decided ICBA to flog all these bits individually, thought that you could make use of them

A charity donation if you feel you must but really I'm happy for you to take them gratis.
