Two of them are chasing each other round and round, in and out of shot, like some bizarre penguin Benny Hill impression. I could spend all day at the zoo watching the penguins anyway; being able to do it from the comfort of my own sofa is dangerously addictive. I'm supposed to be going to the flicks tonight, but this is much more entertaining.

Sat in the conservatory watching and listening to the mother of all rain storms on the glass.

I am somewhat sleep deprived though and in the hyper stage before I suddenly zonk out for 12 hours so these things may take on more meaning than they really have when I am thinking straight.

Just got up, so feeding Talisker, and digging out a route to Monument, so I can go on Andrij's Thames Path Meander, which should be fun. I like wandering along the Thames, it's quite surprising what you can find.

Just packed the bikes off with Dave to the Pyrenees. Hopefully we will be reunited with them on Tuesday.

We've just got back from Priory Park after having emptied the dog.

It's the BHF London-Southend Bike Ride. Lots of cyclists on an assortment of bikes. Almost wish I'd done it now.

Dissecting the LEL route through Gainsborough. Routesheet doesn't match satellite imagery of the roads in the area, and track seems to differ from routesheet. Track's version looks shorter...
