Troop Cake. Crushed digestive biscuits, mixed with butter, treacle, lots of mixed fruit, cocoa powder, then topped with a thick layer of melted chocolate. The fridge helps keep the chocolate from going too sticky.

Now; disposing of the 3 dead mice that last night's trap-setting enticed into a spring-assisted early demise. The noise of one of the traps going off woke me during "Farming Today" - i.e. before 6am. Now hoping that I can squeeze all my belongings into the rucksack before walking 1/4 mile for the first bus - 0955 (!)

We had a good few days in Memphis. The Graceland experience is a must, even if it is seriously over commercialised.

Keep your eyes (and ears) open when in the Beale area. Bands do impromptue sessions in the park.

We're having lamb steaks, roast veg and mashed potato, with a very nice low alcohol rose wine from M&S*.

*It's part of their 'Lower' range. Only £1.96** per 500ml bottle and still 9.5% ABV...

Looking forward to going on MY choice of hols tomorrow - a week in a caravan at Barmouth.

Herself's choice was a coach tour of Turkey in July - just about hit the "OK I suppose" category from my perspective. But I guess the wife will feel the same about Wales!

And the new Brompton is packed ready! Who cares if it rains....
