Creeping around the house as quietly as possible.
Mrs B is still asleep, which is almost unheard of at this time.

#1 son has been banned radio. #2 son pushed his m/c onto the road before starting up to get to work.

Still she sleeps.

There'll be all hell to pay when she wakes upand realises she's missed her swimming session at Llanysul baths, but I'll take that. That girl really needs some rest.

Utterly gobsmacked after finding out that I guy I shared an office with up until a couple of months ago, has just been sent down for 18 months for assault.

He did this, and was presumably arrested for it, whilst he was working here, but never mentioned it to anyone (as far as I know).

It's amazing, and somewhat worrying that people have these secrets going on, and we don't always know anything about it.

Having a sit down and a cup of tea after (a) cleaning all the windows and (b) giving the oven its annual (sorry!) pre-Christmas clean.

I also found time to cut up the orange cellophane from a Jaffa Cakes box and stick it inside the glass panels of the porch light. That should tone down the CFL glare and make it look a bit more seasonal.
