It's pretty mild down here in the smoke, around 9°C, I don't need the heating on.

I'm busy doing spring cleaning, two bin bags of rubbish out so far, and two loads of the washing machine done.

I've just had my lunch, so it's time to do a quick bit of shopping before I go back to the cleaning.

Realising that I've missed the doctor's, where my repeat prescription is, and they are now closed until Tuesday morning. We have changed our reservation to Sunday's train. I need methotrexate!

Thank god the chemist has some sense. He said he will lend me 20 tablets. Dez will be able to give him the prescription on Tuesday.

Just cleaned out the garage, having failed to find the Shimano dynohub plug which must have vanished into the fourth dimension. Or it's in the bottom of my big tool box, which is the same thing really.

About to fit a 52T chainring to the Fuji, adjust the cones on the S3X (not quite right out of the box) and tweak the chainline if I can get an extra thin washer underneath the sprocket - it's splined, so this is Reasonably Safe.

The sun has come out so I may even be able to ride it later.

*Primary transport has been claimed by SWMBO, Mrs Torslanda - she of the horned helmet and heavy metal breastplate - on the grounds of limiting its mileage and running costs. The VW being capable of over 50mpg which is significant when your commute is nearly 80 miles a day.
