Just put Georgie my MTB back in the garage after collecting her from the repair shop at Halfords.

I have taken her for a spin around the block and nothing has fallen off.

wondering why i work for a cowboy !!! and why is it that cowboy's always pay a lot more than other company's just answerd my own question

seriously depressed at being off the bike for 5 weeks after an accident at work

never mind christmas is nearly here and hopefully in the new year we will all be able to get some good miles in

Wish me luck, this evening I am deciding on the final spec of my new audax bike and ordering all the bits (I hope!).

Getting ready to go to bed in a bed for the first time in about two months. Since we've been home we've been sleeping on our Downmats in the living room.

Also, we were so cosy and comfy on our mats in our sleeping bags on the floor. I'm putting off going to bed because I know I won't sleep as well in a bed! Born to tour...

I'm signing back into work - in a token manner - from home. I'm still far from well after a rather pernicious chest infection, but I still feel the need to be "there", even though I shan't be doing all that much!

Neither did I. Arthritis. The joints which are guaranteed to give me a bad night when they are affected are my shoulders. Impossible to get comfortable, always load-bearing no matter how you lie. Trying to get up or turn over changes the stresses and the pain. It's my right shoulder which is giving me serious jip at the moment.

You should have texted me, Peli. We could have kept each other company.

Trying to download my last 12 months statements from BarclayCard. Takes me back to the days of 2400 modems. It's so slow that I've already been force logged out twice. Could it be the WikiLeak imbecile attackers?

I just went out to pick up a 30kg delivery of cat litter from my local Post Office. Inevitably whilst I was out, another parcel was delivered. Luckily one of my neighbours took it in for me.

I think I've had about ten deliveries in the last two days, and there's at least one more somewhere in the system.

It's not that I've been ordering a lot, but I've had no parcel deliveries for about two weeks, and it's not been helped by Wiggle sending what could have been sent in one Jiffy bag, as four separate ones (with more to follow!)

I just got another two parcels from Wiggle through the letterbox. Given that the contents of each was less than £5, the postage, packaging, and packets of Haribo, must cost a significant amount of their profit. $:-\$

I think there's at least one more parcel before that order is complete.

It's midnight here. I'm waiting for riders to finish the Warwick Walkabout 200. Made most challenging by the amount of flood water around. Some serious servicing of BBs tomorrow I think. They walked bikes over a rail bridge to avoid one torrent. Very long coal train through 10 mins later. Too close a call for my level of risk aversion but then I don't think I would have been brave enough to walk across the rail bridge in the first place.

Feeling sorry for myself. Should have been going to see daughter tomorrow - back problems mean 2x 3+ hours sat on National Express just not on. Bugger.

The pain is not nice. The disappointment much worse.
