Sitting in a café in Ghent, or Gent, waiting for some sandwiches after rather too many kilometres on a tso. The first one had no front changer and so few teeth on its middle chain ring that the chain jumped off within 20 metres of the cycle hire place. We took it back and got another one. I think we might be taking it back o the train as the saddles are none too wonderful and I didn't bring any cycling gloves with me.

We are enjoying some lovely warm sunny weather, although the wind made progress difficult for a time.

I got in to work on Monday having been out on Thurs & Fri to find that 1/4 of my birthday cake was uneaten and had gone mouldy.
Ingrates.
That's the last time I'll take an entire cake into that office. At least I know when the cake goes to Pingu's work the tin will come back empty the same day!

Waiting for my lunch to cook. I was hoping to have a lunch date so I could show off my haircut, but it wasn't to be.

Wondering if Mrs m is correct, and I have really turned into a senile old goat...

1645. Pay £13 for new swimming goggles at pool.
1725. Leave pool armed with goggles, towels, 4 childer.
1735 arrive home. Count goggles. FFS, where is the new ones?

This was the last piece in my jigsaw of goggle replacement arrangements following the as yet unexplained disappearance of the entire family goggle supply following our Turkish trip a couple of weeks ago. I've just spent another £13 at the pool whilst pretending to be there only for associated water polo reasons with one of the other childer. Goat. Senile or otherwise.
