Not entirely sure that his Ray Pew online identity is in particularly good taste, either.

It was on FauxNews, so both are kind of implicit.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about Katie Hopkins. Yes, she seems to be a publicity-seeking pub bore who delights in saying things that are calculated to offend, but that's the point. She\s just another version of Richard Littlejohn, Melanie Phillips, Sarah Vine or any of the so-called "controversial" commentators that have disgraced the media through the years.  A generation ago, we had John Junor (who really was obnoxious) and Patricia Boxall. In another decade, we'll have some new upstart, groomed to seek notoriety.

By getting worked up, people give Hopkins the attention she so obviously craves. As is often said, why feed a troll?

Agreed.

1) Ignoring them is the only sensible approach.  Pity them if necessary.

2) Never, ever read "below the line" on the Internet.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

In fairness to Steven Emerson, while he may have got the ethnic make-up of Birmingham completely wrong - it's actually 100% Klingon* - his super-twattery was merely non-enriched compared the weapons-grade effort by Faux "News" host Jeanine Pirro:

Some chap from UKip (can't be any more specific than that at present) who was quoted as suggesting that, cars should rule the roads, cyclists shouldn't be allowed to use the road any longer, and be moved to using the pavements, with pedestrians being given priority. A spokesman for UKip said the usual: "He was only expressing his personal views and not those of UKip." Surprise, surprise.

I think we just get a good a good idea of what a knobber he his old chap, and what he REALLY thinks, that's all.

Au contraire - by subsisting on a diet of produce that even C.M.O.T. Dibbler would have second thoughts about selling, he has - like the Dread Pirate Roberts - been building up his immunity.
