I’m at a bit of a loose end this afternoon but will be away between Christmas and New Year then busy during the first few days of January so I’ve started packing for Epiphany!

Don't forget that OD has, as ever, totaly ballsed up and is organising his epiphany bash before epiphany starts.

I know - why not just be novel and call it a Christmas bash - since you are celebrating it at Chrstmas - the 10th day if my calculations are correct? :P

The three wise "men" all have the route.

It is 32k from Witham to Chelmsford via Butts Green then 14k to the Compasses.

There is some cycle path COR but mainly laney.

One thing to check then full itinerary will follow...

Ah yes, that was an unnecessary and unfortunate incident.  If only that coach load of nuns hadn’t appeared at exactly the wrong moment.  And the bloke in the wheelchair should have minded his own business too - most unhelpful  >:(

ITINERARY

0900 - Battesford Court, Witham for breakfast and Essex Energy Drinks

1000 - depart (the three wise "men" and I have the route)

1130 - cafe stop Butts Green Garden Centre

1200 - depart

1300 - lunch at the Chelmsford Club - musical instruments and singing welcomed (no kazoos)

1430 - quiz (Psyclist will once again take the role of quizmaster general and this year's quiz will have added art competition.)  There is also scope for further entertainment if anyone wants to volunteer.

1630 - depart for Compasses, Littley Green

1730 - campsite preparation

1800 - top table assembles, Musky Pelt Wearer arrival and dinner (no kazoos)

19.30 - MEMWNS award ceremony (remember to get those nominations to Jem)

0000 - after-party, the Epiphany Field


The list upthread has everyone who has confirmed on it.  I am just waiting for Josser to let me know about the Dutch Wife.  If anyone can't now make it, let me know.  It looks like we have about 26 of us for lunch.

If possible can those of you coming for lunch let me know:

Chicken Pie or Black Bean Chilli

Pudding, biscuits and cheese or nothing

Essex Energy Drinks or Wine

See you all on Saturday...
