Poor lass!  She had a great voice and cheered up a lot of people with it. RIP.
I've dusted all those old bottles and set them up straight.

As a teenager I helped out at a local spastics centre. Thanks to Vera Lynn's obituary I have learned that the condition is actually called motor learning difficulties and what a significant contribution Vera made to the understanding of and work with those that suffer motor learning difficulties.

I think it was Clive James in The Crystal Bucket who noted that Vera Lynn was a groundbreaker in that her singing voice gave absolutely no clue as the social class of the singer.
