In this case figs.

I'm thinking of a tarte aux figues, with ground almonds.  A quick "google" brings up plenty of recipes, in French.  Anyone got a recipe in English?

Are your figs as soft as our(neighbour)s?

They are too soft for ANY handling; I term them liquid fig. I'd really only use them for compôte or crumble.

They've even got maple syrup financiers with roast figs. Can't be bad.
I've dusted all those old bottles and set them up straight.
