A small piece of good news, but it made me smile a lot.
I like Red Pepper magazine (well, I would, wouldn't I?), and bought it from the first edition onwards. I even had a subscription for a short while.
But it seemed to have gone the way of so many left magazines, stuffed by right-wing (yes, we don't need the argument, just accept there's a track record) distributors having a monopoly and strangling circulation.
It's about three years since I've seen a copy on the shelf. But I spotted one yesterday in, of all places, WH Smith in Sutton. Bought it straight away and took it home for a good read
I hope this, and the reappearance of the Morning Star on the newspaper racks are signs of a thaw.
