Well done! But isn't this a funny time of year to get A level results?
Oh, Bach without any doubt. Bach every time for me.

Still haven't heard anything from them! I know they're notoriously slow, but didn't think I'd have to wait 5 months... :-\ They haven't given out any Geoscience offers or rejections yet, though, so hopefully I'll be OK... I'll keep you posted! :D

However, I could not not sit any of my June exams and still go to Aberdeen or Glasgow - Modular marks mean that I've already effectively got BCC before I sit the rest of my exams, which is a bit nice.

These are A2 modular results from exams I took back in January... it never ends! :-\

I've just had a phone call from my younger son.

He's managed to pull the wool over the eyes of the ESRC to the tune of full funding for his PhD for 3 years! :D

Credit crunch? Don't mind if I do!

the 2 new tyres for our car cost less than I expected!

when I asked the bloke 'are you sure that's right?' when he told me how much it was going to be, he misunderstood and apologised for not being able to give me any more discount...

We've had more work come in during the last ten days than the previous four months.I have gone from worrying about a lack of it to fretting how to cope with it all. This business is either feast or famine.
