I’m trying to work my way across London to Victoria Station for the train to Dorking.  Of course Google routed me via The Mall….    Half the UK’s police appear to be here.
What time did you leave Liverpool, Andrew?

If anyone has forgotten $RANDOM_STUFFS I'm just down the road and have all kinds of crap you can borrow/have.

We're delaying departure so as not to arrive in the middle of the thunderstorm.  This evening looks decent enough, and it looks like Saturday's weather is getting earlier in the day (which is causing disgruntlement from the resident fair-weather cyclist, but should provide the traditional BRITISH aesthetic for the coronation at least).  Looks dry from Saturday evening.

ETA: And now we're being delayed by nowhere to put the car to load it up, even using parking-like-a-fud tactics.  It's currently far enough up the hill that my knee will object to all the carrying.  Cycle-camping is so much simpler.

ETA: Got a parking space.  Car loaded.  Leaving imminently.

If you’re that tired it’s probably the sensible decision. Could you rebook for tomorrow & Sunday? I think a few of us will still be there.

I’m here and have pitched in the top camping field opposite the shower block.  We are apparently sharing this with a DOE group, so we’ll have to be on our best behaviour…..  discreet debauchery will be the order of the weekend.  O:-)

We're at Beaconsfield services. Had about 8 kinds of weather so far.  Next up: The Road To Hell.

The weather is looking decidedly manky tomorrow. I hope you have something dry planned.

Cycleman fell asleep on his trike whilst down there bending their ears perhaps?

I'm impressed by my ability to stay asleep when there's continuous rain on the tent. Anyone alive out there?

I might brave an expedition to the village shop at Ewhurst at some point today. Or perhaps not.

The DoE youngsters all packed up left at about 9 this morning.

I’ve been up, showered, shaved & breakfasted. Now drinking Lapsang Sheepdip in my tent.  It’s a bit liquid outside.

I love camping when it’s tipping it down, the sound of rain on the tent is almost hypnotic. Caveat: a waterproof tent and a pitch above the water table not withstanding.
For every complex problem in the world, there is a simple and easily understood solution that’s wrong.
