I should be fine.  I don't listen to music radio. I use the quiet room in the pub.

Nah.  I'll be fine.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I made it last year.  Sainsbury's is dangerous but they have an autism hour with no music  ;)

Posted on the family Whatsapp group that it's officially Whamageddon season and my (#3) son replied "give me a day, I'm back at work tomorrow" - he works in a Sainsbury bakery dept.   ;D

I've still never knowingly heard the song in question. Or, for that matter, any ditty crooned by Wham. Now W. A. M. is a totally different kettle of Köchels.

I'm afraid I don't believe you've been comatose for nigh-on 30 years. It's possible you've ignored this whine as part of the seasonal soundscape...

No, it's true. My pal Pen sung a couple of lines today when we were discussing this and I don't recognise it. I'm quite confident I've never knowingly heard it - or anything else by Wham.

You need to get off Radio 3/4 and listen to 2 and 6 occasionally ;)

Radio 6 is probably safe. I thought I'd been knobbled by a cover version last year, but thanks for the reminder Helly!
Cover versions by other artists are safe.

I remember when it came out.  I didn't think it had the makings of a classic.

Mind you, I find Mariah Carey's gratuitous warbling pretty meh, too.  The 70s had the best Xmas tunes.

Most of the music I listen to, I play myself. Usually Johann Sebastian Bach, but then you knew that...

Why is this a thing? Who cares?

Hearing the same old shit Christmas records that have been doing the rounds for >40 years is a hazard of the time of year, but you can mostly avoid them if you’re that bothered.

Earphones are useful while shopping at *any* time of year.

Yep: Mr Holder & Slade, Mr Wood & Wizzard together with Mr Greg Lake are THE Christmas tunes for me - with The Pogues and Chris Rea being acceptable too.

I deliberately sought it out this morning and I've already forgotten the tune. Maudlin crap anyway.
