I remember when it came out. I didn't think it had the makings of a classic.Mind you, I find Mariah Carey's gratuitous warbling pretty meh, too. The 70s had the best Xmas tunes.
Why is this a thing? Who cares? Hearing the same old shit Christmas records that have been doing the rounds for >40 years is a hazard of the time of year, but you can mostly avoid them if you’re that bothered. Earphones are useful while shopping at *any* time of year.
In that case I’ll add it to the long list of other Christmas traditions I ignore.
