Looks like we've got a good crew together for this ride, but there's always room for more. Any lurkers thinking about joining us should make themselves known - at this rate Cyclops might run out of cards! We'll be starting at 8am - exact start location TBA, probably the nearest newsagents to the Old Town Hall open at 8am on a Sunday!

Bugger.

Came off my bike on Thursday night on a stretch of temporary bike path at South Gyle and broke my wrist. Estimated 4-6 weeks in plaster so this might be my comeback ride.

Sooooooo not happy.

No. To my eternal shame I didnt have any zip ties with me - I'm sure I'll be summarily dismissed from Audax Ecosse as a result.

However, given that I had little option but to push my bike home I did fashion a support out of a spare inner tube. Unfortunately my neck ended up as black as the ace of spades as a result - not a good look.

BTW, the waiting room in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary at 2am was strangely reminiscent of Johstonebridge services.

Fewer weirdos though.

I'm now intrigued as to how you came to be using icy cyclepaths in the middle of the night

If you want weirdos for company, it's always best to bring your own. As you'll see from the start list, we're well on the way to re-creating the Johnstonebridge ensemble.
