track-laying might be delayed, but the road closures and diversions are in place and it's not pretty, particularly Queensferry St => Lothian Rd.
I took a cabbie's advice last night and crossed Princes St on foot, only on rejoining the highway to be nearly torpedo'd in rapid succession (15 seconds) by a RLJing hatchback (through a pedestrian crossing on the green man
) and a double decker bus (getting used to the new "give way" road markings).
Death on a stick. Looks like I need to find a new route home for the duration ...
